Coming off just their second loss in 12 games, the New York Yankees and CC Sabathia look to continue their success against the Minnesota Twins in the opener of a three-game series tonight.

New York failed to complete a four-game sweep against Toronto, losing the finale 7-6 on Monday. The Yankees, though, do have one four-game sweep to their credit, against Minnesota from May 15-18.

Sabathia has been outstanding in recent years versus the Twins, posting a 1.24 ERA in winning his last four starts. The lefthander is 12-8 with a 3.12 ERA in 27 starts against Minnesota.

Scott Baker, who is 4-0 with a 3.20 ERA in his last six starts, will now take his turn in the Twins’ rotation. Baker is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in two career starts against the Yankees, who are averaging 6.6 runs in their last 12 games.
