Grade B: The St. Louis Cardinals (+1400 to win World Series) stand at 49-42, good enough to lead an underachieving division despite their 30-32 record since May 7.

Grade C+: The Milwaukee Brewers have tumbled out of the NL Central lead by losing eight of 11 games.

Grade C: The Chicago Cubs have been a bit of a disappointment but did close within 3 1/2 games of the NL Central-leading Cardinals on Sunday.

Grade C-: The Houston Astros are at .500 heading into the All-Star break. Nothing special about that, but in a weak division they are only 3 ½ games out.

Grade C-: The Cincinnati Reds, who added Jay Bruce to their injury list Saturday with a broken wrist, are 42-45 heading into the break.

Grade D: The Phillies swept Pittsburgh on the weekend, sending the reeling Pirates into the All-Star break with nine defeats in their past 11 games.
