MLB Odds: Astros at Rangers

The -174 favored Texas Rangers go for their sixth consecutive victory over the Houston Astros in the finale of this three-game set at Rangers Ballpark tonight.

Michael Young went 2 for 5 in Wednesday's victory as the Rangers improved to 6-2 in interleague play. Young is batting .471 in four games against the Astros this season and is 10 for 13 with two homers lifetime versus tonight's scheduled starter, Brandon Backe.

Backe will be looking to give Houston its first win over Texas since a 7-2 victory on June 26. He is 1-2 with a 6.52 ERA in three career starts versus the Rangers.

Texas counters with Vicente Padilla, who goes for his fifth win in six starts following Friday's 6-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Padilla is 2-0 with a 1.80 in his last two starts against the Astros.
