The NL West-leading L.A. Dodgers look to carry some momentum from a rare interleague series win into tonight as they open a three-game set against the lowly Oakland Athletics.

The Dodgers, owners of the majors' best record, have not won three straight games against the AL since sweeping a series from the Los Angeles Angels in 2006.

Clayton Kershaw, quite familiar with the team's interleague struggles, takes the ball for Los Angeles tonight. Kershaw is 0-1 with a 3.50 ERA in four interleague starts, with the Dodgers backing him with one total run of support in those games.

The A's are coming off Sunday's 7-1 loss to San Francisco, their third straight and fifth in six games.
Dallas Braden is set to make his first career interleague appearance in the series opener for Oakland.
The A's have won 10 of their last 12 versus the Dodgers, whom they haven't met since 2006.
