The MLB playoffs are on our doorstep, and all over our television screens for most of October. This is when the props market really starts to heat up.

Some of the props have to do with the entire postseason; for example, Philadelphia’s Ryan Howard is the 2-1 favorite to hit the most home runs during the playoffs. Howard led the majors this year with 48 homers, and his Phillies are favored to beat the Brewers in the NLDS, giving Howard that many more plate appearances to get the job done.

Other props match two players head-to-head to see who puts up the best numbers in a single series. Howard is –130 over Milwaukee’s Prince Fielder (+105) to register the most hits, runs and RBI combined in the NLDS. Fielder was far behind Howard in all three categories this year.
