The Philadelphia Phillies, who are the favorites at +160 to win the NL Pennant, are looking like just that as they lead the Milwaukee Brewers (+600 to win the NL Pennant) 2-0 in the best-of-five NL playoff series .

It appears they will be the team doing the sweeping, unlike 2007 when they were swept in the opening round. With CC Sabathia finally losing, the Brewers’ hopes of moving on is all but gone.

The Chicago Cubs, who started the postseason listed at +180 to take the NL crown, are in some really deep trouble. They lost both games at home to the Los Angeles Dodgers (+220 to win the Pennant) and backers are witnessing a dream season go down the toilet.

With postseason veterans Manny Ramirez and Joe Torre leading the way, it is clear the Dodgers are a good bet in the NL despite their poor regular season.
