Wow…the MLB Trade Deadline was like anticipating the feature film The Dukes Of Hazzard and then actually watching it from beginning to end.

To be blunt…alot of hoopla and utterly disappointing.

Ugh…well…Greg Maddux got traded to the Dodgers…Devil Rays Short-stop Julio Lugo also ended up with the Dodgers for minor league prospect Joel Guzman, Mets grabbed a couple of arms (players important enough to only be refereed to as 'a couple of arms') the Tigers acquired Sean Casey and…ahem…and ugh…that's it.

Alfonso Soriano? Going nowhere…Closer Brad Lidge? He must be on the move right? Nope, only place he may go is to the Minors…Miguel Tejada? No biters…Zito? Ditto.

This was the 'Da Vinci Code' of deadlines (sorry for the movie analogies but there's been a lot of crappy movies this year), with as much action as an Astros game. Oh well, at least football season is on the way…
