Bobby Southworth vs. Bill Mahood

According to figures given to the California State Athletic Commission, Bobby Southworth earned $20,000 for beating Bill Mahood who earned $1000 for his efforts.

 

With eight out of 12 fights ending in the first round, some fighters made quick cash at Bodog Fight presents Strikeforce at the Playboy Mansion.

According to figures given to the California Athletic Commission by promoters, light heavyweight champion Bobby Southworth (8-4-0) got $20,000 for his first round TKO win over Bodog Fight veteran Bill "The Butcher" Mahood (15-6-1), who verbally submitted at 1:15 into the fight, earning $1,000 in the process.

Former UFC fighter Joe Riggs (27-9-0) also cashed in, collecting $29,500 for knocking out 41-year old MMA veteran Eugune "The Wolf" Jackson (15-8-1) at 3:56 of the first round. Jackson earned $15,000 according to Strikeforce promoters.

Light heavyweight champion Gilbert Melendez (13-0-0) recieved the largest paycheque, collecting $30,000 for handing Tetsuji Kato (18-8-0) a three-round beating. Kato got $6,000 for his efforts.
