American mixed martial arts fighter Spencer "The King" Fisher (20-3-0) wants to even the score with Canadian MMA whiz Sam "Hands of Stone" Stout (12-2-1).
Fans on both sides of the border still talk about the first time they fought, at UFC 58: USA vs. Canada. In a back-and-forth brawl, both fighters gave it their all with hard punches, kicks and knees. While Stout was able to gain a slight edge in the striking, Fisher controlled the grappling and groundwork and at one point threw Stout 360-degrees in a moment that has been a favorite of highlight reels ever since. After three rounds of insanity, two judges thought Stout won and the other thought the fight was a draw. Stout was declared the winner by majority decision.
Should it have been declared a draw?
Tuesday, June 12 the two fighters will step back into the octagon for a rematch to set the record straight. Stout is determined to defeat Fisher for a second time, while Fisher is looking to redeem himself by stealing a win from the tough Canadian fighter from Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Also fighting on the card are mixed martial arts stand-outs Pete Spratt (16-8-0), Jason Black (22-2-1) and Jon Fitch (18-2-1).
