TNT has announced the NBA's starters for the 2008 NBA All-Star game in New Orleans on Feb. 17:
EASTERN CONFERENCE
Orlando C Dwight Howard makes his second appearance and first start along with Nets PG Jason Kidd, Heat SG Dwyane Wade, Cavs SF LeBron James, and Celtcs forward Kevin Garnett makes his 11th-straight appearance.
WESTERN CONFERENCE
The most controversial start on the West is definitely the point guard position. Allen Iverson gets the nod while Steve Nash and Chris Paul get the snub as starters. Surprisingly the nod almost went to Tracy McGrady who was second in voting.
Other West starters are Denver's Carmelo Anthony, San Antonio's Tim Duncan, Rockets C Yao Ming, and Lakers SG Kobe Bryant.
Next week the All-Star reserves will be announced for the Eastern and Western Conferences.
