Riding a five-game winning streak into Los Angeles, the Dallas Mavericks are hoping to do more than just compete with the defending Western Conference champion L.A. Lakers tonight. (AP Images)

The Mavs are back at .500 for the first time since early in the season and enter tonight's matchup following a 109-106 victory over Indiana on Tuesday night after rallying from 13 points down in the third quarter.

Dirk Nowitzki is averaging 28.8 points and 11.6 boards in his last five games, which has led to a 4-1 ATS record for the Mavericks in that span.

During their five-game winning streak the Mavericks are holding opponents to 41.0 percent field-goal shooting and 93.0 points per game.  Continuing that trend against the Lakers could be a challenge since L.A. is the NBA's highest-scoring team at 107.0 points per game. The road team is 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Be sure to get your NBA betting in the Bodog Sportsbook now.
