Though the Mavs remained in eighth place in the West, they pulled within two games of third-place Denver.

It will be tough to win in New Orleans, where the Mavericks were 0-5 last season, including three losses in a first-round playoff series won by the Hornets. The Mavericks had won their previous 10 road games against the Hornets up until that point.

New Orleans is one game ahead of Dallas in the fight for the postseason thanks to its season-high five-game winning streak.

Chris Paul
had 33 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds and seven steals for his second consecutive triple-double against Dallas in a 104-97 road victory on Jan. 14. Get your NBA basketball lines with Bodog today.
