Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat will look to continue their strong early play at home tonight when they face the New Jersey Nets, who hope to have Devin Harris back in the lineup. The Heat are not burning up the league by any stretch, but after last season backers will take any signs of improvement.
Wade is averaging 26.2 points, 8.0 assists, and 6.5 rebounds, and Miami is among the top 10 in the league in scoring defense at 93.8 points allowed per game. The Heat have also looked good on their home court, dominating their first two games at AmericanAirlines Arena. Miami beat Sacramento 103-77 and knocked off Philadelphia 106-83.
Miami will be facing a Nets club that is coming off its lowest-scoring game of the season, a 98-80 defeat versus Indiana on Saturday. The Nets have won three straight in Miami and took two of three from the Heat last season.
