Even without All-Star point guard Steve Nash, who is nursing a sprained right ankle, the Phoenix Suns took care of the winless Charlotte Bobcats 111-108 in double-overtime on Monday. Phoenix is 3-3 in preseason play and tonight will take on the Los Angeles Clippers, who have only lost once so far.

If you are a Clippers backer you are not as concerned with the preseason record as you are with Baron Davis' finger. Davis learned Monday his injured finger does not need surgery, and the Clippers guard might be ready to play in the season opener.

For teams like the Clippers that are trying to boost their confidence and coming off a disappointing season, their success in the preseason is important. Taking care of the Suns tonight will only add to that.
