After suffering their seventh loss in 11 games despite Dwyane Wade’s career-high point total, the Miami Heat hope to put together a more balanced offensive effort as they try to send the Detroit Pistons to their seventh straight defeat tonight.

Wade topped his previous career best of 48 points with 50 on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to counter the balanced attack of Orlando. The rest of the Heat players know they have to step up for Miami to snap out of its 4-7 funk since Jan. 30.

Facing the reeling Pistons could be the answer for the Heat. Detroit has lost 15 of 20 since Jan. 10, including six straight for the first time since 2004. The Pistons haven’t had a longer skid since they dropped seven in a row in 2003.

The 4.5-point underdog Pistons have won 17 of their last 20 regular-season meetings with the Heat, including six straight.
