Paul Millsap (who?) scored 24 points to lead the Utah Jazz over the Cleveland Cavaliers in a matchup of two of last season’s surprise playoff teams Wednesday night. The Jazz withstood a late rally from LeBron James and Co. to hold onto a 103-101 victory in Salt Lake City.
Deron Williams scored the winning basket on a driving layup with one second remaining in the fourth quarter, breaking a 101-101 tie. James had pulled the Cavaliers even with a three-pointer with five seconds left.
The Jazz were favored against the point spread by nine while the betting total was over 195.
James finished with a triple-double: 32 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists.
Carlos Boozer had 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz. Williams finished with 15 points. His heroic dash stunned Cleveland, which had fought hard to get back into the game and looked like it had forced overtime on James' clutch trey.
