It took a while, but the Cleveland Cavaliers finally put away the suddenly feisty Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night.

LeBron James finished with 31 points and a career-high 19 rebounds to power the Cavs to a 113-106 double-overtime win at Quicken Loans Arena. Cleveland just missed covering the point spread, which was eight.

Trailing 102-100, James gave the Cavaliers the lead for good with a three-pointer. He added five more points in the double OT as the Cavs pulled away from Charlotte, which pulled off a major upset on Wednesday by beating the Celtics in Boston.

The betting total in Cleveland, not surprisingly, flew over 188 points in the 58-minute game.

In other NBA action on Friday night:

Chicago 100, Philadelphia 97: Andres Nocioni scored 26 points to lead the Bulls, who were two-point underdogs in Philadelphia. Samuel Dalembert had 21 points and 20 rebounds for the Sixers.

Washington 102, Atlanta 98: Behind Antawn Jamison’s 22 points and 17 rebounds the Wizards won in overtime and beat the two-point spread, which favored host Atlanta.

Toronto 99, New York 90: Chris Bosh had a monster game with 40 points and 11 rebounds for the visiting Raptors. Toronto covered the five-point spread.

Boston 86, New Jersey 77: The Celtics were favored by 7.5 on the road and didn’t disappoint their bettors as Kevin Garnett posted 20 points and 11 boards.

New Orleans 114, Miami 88: Bobby Jackson drilled seven three-pointers and netted 25 points for the Hornets. New Orleans was a 12-point favorite in Miami.

Houston 113, Minnesota 82: Luis Scola (who?) scored 22 points to lead the Rockets, who covered the 11-point spread.
