At some point, the Detroit Pistons are going to have to stop for an oil change. The Bad Boys from Motown keep rolling along like they’ve got a full tank and open road in front of them.

Behind 22 points from Richard Hamilton, Detroit motored to its 11th straight win Friday night, defeating the Toronto Raptors 101-85 at the Air Canada Centre. The point spread favored the Pistons by five while the betting total went over 184 by a layup.

The Pistons face Boston Saturday night in a duel between the Eastern Conference’s top two teams. Detroit warmed up for that contest by sending Toronto to its fifth loss in seven games.

Rasheed Wallace had 20 points in the win and Chauncey Billups added 18.

In other early NBA action on Friday:

Boston 100, Memphis 96: Paul Pierce had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics, who didn’t come close to covering the point spread, which was 14.

Houston 84, Orlando 82: Rafer Alston’s layup at the buzzer lifted the Rockets to an overtime win in O-town. Alston had 20 points as Houston beat the five-point spread that favored the Magic.

Cleveland 97, Sacramento 93: Daniel Gibson hit a clutch three-pointer with 12 seconds to go and LeBron James finished with 24 points to lead the Cavaliers at home. However, Cleveland failed to cover the eight-point spread.

Denver 118, Minnesota 107: Allen Iverson (33) and Carmelo Anthony (26) combined for 59 points for the Nuggets, who were six-point favorites on the road.

San Antonio 97, New York 93: The Knicks put up a tougher-than-expected fight in Texas, beating the 14.5-point spread, if not the Spurs.
