NBA Lines: New Orleans at Memphis

Picking between jazz and blues is difficult. On the other hand, it’s easy to choose between the New Orleans Hornets (30-18 SU, 21-25-2 ATS) and the awful Memphis Grizzlies (14-36 SU, 18-31-1 ATS). When they’re both healthy, that is.

The Hornets have a major personnel problem. Chris Paul remains day-to-day with a strained groin, Tyson Chandler has a sprained ankle, and David West faces a possible suspension after committing a flagrant-2 foul on Mike Miller during Sunday’s 101-97 victory over Minnesota (+2.5). That’s the three best players on the team.

The Grizzlies are also down three men: Rudy Gay (hip flexor), Kyle Lowry (ankle) and Darrell Arthur (personal). All three are listed as day-to-day. And yet the Grizz are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four to snap a horrible 12-game losing streak – again, both SU and ATS. New Orleans won and cashed in twice over the weekend.
