The New Orleans Hornets adjustment after trading their center is going to be a lot easier than first thought. Tyson Chandler failed his physical with Oklahoma City on Wednesday night, one day after the Hornets traded him, so he was returned to New Orleans.

Chandler has missed the last 14 games since spraining his left ankle Jan. 12. He’s scheduled to join the Hornets in Los Angeles, where they play the Lakers on Friday, though he’s not expected to play during the three-game road trip.

That means New Orleans will be undermanned against one of the best teams in the NBA.

The Lakers beat the Warriors in Oracle Arena on Wednesday night and continued their torrid offensive pace.
One thing going for the Hornets is their impressive 4-0 ATS record in the last four meetings in Los Angeles. Will they have the depth to steal another one from the Lakers?
