The mood is pretty glum in Milwaukee now that the Marquette Golden Eagles (23-6 SU, 12-11-1 ATS) have lost back-to-back games – along with starting point guard Dominic James to a broken foot. Three losses in a row is a distinct possibility as the Eagles prepare for Wednesday’s matchup in Pittsburgh against the Panthers (26-3 SU, 14-8-1 ATS).

Marquette is still a dangerous team in the Big East; Louisville (-8.5) almost found that out the hard way on Sunday before finally sealing off a 62-58 victory at Freedom Hall. The Eagles have enough depth at guard behind James to continue their offensive game plan; their problem has been on defense, where the relatively small lineup has trouble dealing with some of the conference giants.
