Stars carry a lot of weight in the tournament and you should keep that in mind when filling out your brackets.

In last year's tourney it was Stephen Curry putting Davidson on his back and taking them much further than they should have gone.

That being said, a lot of the time it is in the tournament that a star is made. Did anyone know who Carmelo Anthony was before he took Syracuse to the title a few years back?

Stars also provide many traps to look out for when placing bets. Just because Blake Griffen is most likely going to be the Player of the Year in college basketball does not mean the Oklahoma Sooners are going to be a lock to go deep. Last season Michael Beasley only got to the second round before being taken out.

The one star that you can't bet against is Tyler Hansbrough. Being one of the best players in college hoops and on one of the best teams is too much to ignore.
