The Xavier Musketeers are one of only nine schools to reach a regional final multiple times over the past five seasons, so you should be very accustomed to seeing them play past the opening weekend.

The Musketeers start off against the Portland State Vikings, who are dangerous from the outside.

The Vikings have four guys proficient from long range, and they’ll need to hit their 3-pointers if they’re to stay close. They are not a strong rebounding team, and a major conference school likely pounds them on the boards.

As for the 10.5-point favored Musketeers? They are that team in your brackets if given the right draw could make it all the way to a regional final again. But the lack of experience in the backcourt makes a second-round exit a more likely scenario. Be sure to get your NCAA picks in the Bodog Sportsbook today.
