This will be the case on Thursday when the California Golden Bears take on the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland deserves plenty of credit for the way it played late in the season after most of the nation had already written off the Terps as a postseason contender. The issue for Maryland is Greivis Vasquez can only carry this team so far. Vasquez often was a one-man gang for Maryland as he carried the Terrapins into the tournament. He leads the Terps in points, rebounds, and assists.

Cal isn’t a team that runs up and down the court, but don’t make the mistake of calling the Bears a low-scoring team. Cal was remarkably efficient and leads the nation in 3-point percentage and are second in the Pac-10 in free-throw percentage. Bet on NCAA basketball in the Bodog Sportsbook now.
