Tony Romo, fresh off signing a six-year contract worth $67 million, leads the Cowboys (6-1 overall, 5-2 against the point spread) back into action after a bye week and Dallas will aim to improve its conference record to 5-0. This is only the Cowboys’ second game versus an NFC East rival while the Eagles aim to avoid dropping to 0-3 in the division.

Philadelphia (3-4 overall, 4-3 ATS) also wants to reach the .500 mark and build on last week’s 23-16 victory at Minnesota. The Eagles were the preseason pick to win the division, but they struggled out of the gate and, in a difficult division, are mired in last place. Beating the East’s beast as a home underdog would push Philadelphia back into the playoff picture.

For Dallas, a win solidifies its status as the NFC’s premier team this year. As usual, Terrell Owens will be the center of media attention when he returns to Philadelphia, site of his most controversial and productive years.

NFL gamblers expect this one to be high scoring, as the betting total of 46.5 points attests. The total has gone over in five of the Cowboys’ last six road games. For NFL odds on all games in Week 9, huddle up with the Bodog Sportsbook today.
