It’s tough enough going on the road in the NFL playoffs with a healthy roster. The Tennessee Titans will have to do it with an injury-ravaged squad.

The most significant hobbling player is quarterback Vince Young. The former first-round pick is nursing a quadriceps injury that forced him to leave Sunday’s game against the Colts, which Tennessee won 16-10 to reach the postseason. Titans coach Jeff Fisher said he is optimistic Young will play against the San Diego Chargers. If not, veteran Kerry Collins will start the game, which will be played at Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday (4:30 p.m. ET, CBS). Collins spearheaded the come-from-behind win over the Colts.

The Titans also have other injuries on offense and defense as they prepare for a rematch of one of the regular season’s most memorable games. Tennessee had been up 17-3 at home before San Diego stormed back to win 23-17 in overtime on Dec. 9. That was the last time the Titans lost en route to their first postseason appearance since 2003.

The Chargers, who have won six straight, are favored by 9.5 on the point spread for the AFC wild-card game.
