Jake Delhomme probably needs a good performance Sunday in Arizona to hang onto his starting job, but he and the struggling Carolina Panthers will be facing a Cardinals team that forced four turnovers in a statement road win over the New York Giants last week.

Due to that big win, NFL football betting odds have the Cards listed as 10.5-point home faves.

Although Arizona was held to 288 yards by the NFL’s top-ranked defense, it still scored at least three touchdowns for the third straight game and got a promising performance from rookie Beanie Wells, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

Carolina has already equaled its loss total from 2008 in part because of a league-worst 21 turnovers. The team had 19 all of last season.

The Cardinals have lost five straight to Carolina in the regular season since a 16-13 road win Oct. 6, 2002.
