With the Miami Dolphins headed back to New England this Sunday afternoon, the Patriots are preparing themselves for the Wildcat attack. Last season they got burned and it helped catapult the Dolphins back onto the NFL scene.

NFL betting lines have the Patriots listed as 11-point favorites this time around.

In 2008, operating out of the Wildcat formation six times, the Dolphins scored four of their five touchdowns in a 38-13 rout of the Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

Miami lost just three times the rest of the season and snapped the Patriots’ five-year ownership of the AFC East.

Recently the Wildcat has been very tame. The Dolphins have churned out just 37 yards on 21 Wildcat plays in their last two games.

The Patriots will want to put their best foot forward Sunday to avoid dropping the first game of the season series to each of their two prime AFC East counterparts.
