Everyone knows injuries happen in the NFL every week. It's practically a miracle if a team makes it to the postseason with all their starters. But it's only Week 3 and already some marquee players went down on Sunday:

  • Bills quarterback J.P. Losman suffered a Grade 1 sprain in his left knee after the first play of the game. He could miss a few weeks.
  • Bears linebacker Lance Briggs left with a groin injury midway through the second quarter.
  • Bears corner Nathan Vasher left with a groing injury in the third quarter.
  • The Carolina Panthers lost their starting quarterback Jake Delhomme to an injury to his throwing arm in the third quarter. He'll be undergoing x-rays to find out more today.
  • Houston rookie Jacoby Jones suffered a seperated shoulder in Houston's Week 3 loss.
  • Eagles running back Brian Westbrook bruised his ribs Sunday and is scheduled to undergo tests Monday.
  • Frank Gore had "precautionary" x-rays on his right hand Sunday, but they were negative.
  • 49ers TE Vernon Davis left Sunday's game late with a sprained right knee.
  • Bengals running back Rudi Johnson left Sunday's game with a hamstrning injury, but he doesn't expect to be out against New England in Week 4.
  • Houston running back Ahman Green left Sunday contest against the Colts with a left knee sprain. No timetable on his return.
