If the Oakland Raiders play like they did on Sunday, the Carolina Panthers should have no problem getting to 7-2. The big thing for the 9.5-point favored Panthers will be to avoid a letdown and overlook the struggling 2-6 Raiders.

The Raiders (3-5 ATS) have challenged some of the league’s better teams, defeating the New York Jets while blowing late leads against Buffalo and San Diego in losses. So there is enough talent for them to put forth a decent effort and pull off an upset.

On the flip side, the Raiders are only averaging 13.4 points per game which is worst in the league.
The Panthers have done well since deciding last season to travel to West Coast games on Fridays instead of Saturdays. They beat Arizona in 2007 and then defeated San Diego earlier this season and plan to keep the same strategy this week when they travel to Oakland.
