Almost two months after a frustrating loss to the New England Patriots, the New York Jets believe they are not the same team that lost to the Pats for the 11th time in 12 tries that day.

The 3.5-point  underdog Jets will get a chance to show that to the Patriots when the two 6-3 teams meet for first place in the AFC East on Thursday night.

The failure of RB Thomas Jones and the Jets to get into the end zone back in Week 2 was particularly frustrating. Now Jones leads the AFC with 750 yards rushing and has eight touchdowns, one shy of his career high with Chicago in 2005.

The Jets rushed for 104 yards against New England in September, and the Patriots are allowing 4.1 yards per carry this season.
