The Detroit Lions will play their first game since the 2000 season without Matt Millen in charge. Does that give the team a shot at upsetting the Chicago Bears this week? Well it can't hurt, and they are only 4-point underdogs.
Many are already saying the Lions’ season is over, and at 0-3 and with little hope for improvement it is heading that way fast. Detroit is 1-9 against the spread in their last 10 games dating back to last season, which does not give backers much hope.
But a big rivalry game against the Bears could be just what Jon Kitna and his club needs to start out fresh and turn the tide.
The Bears will be looking to ride the momentum from a huge win over the Eagles right into Ford Field and move into first place in the NFC North with a win.
Change is usually good, so we will see if it works for the Lions.
