NFL Week 6 Picks: New England at San Diego

Instead both clubs are just trying to keep pace.

To avoid falling into a deeper hole, the 5-point favored Chargers must try to beat a Patriots team looking for its second straight win in California.

San Diego is wracking up points but they are not cashing in with wins. They are averaging 29.6 points to rank fourth in the league but have lost three games by a total of 10 points. Phillip Rivers is second in the AFC with 11 touchdown strikes, but over the past two games he has completed less than half of his passes with two TDs and two interceptions.
