Considering the Bengals could be missing their starting quarterback for the remainder of 2008, the odds are getting slimmer and slimmer each week. That is why they need to cash in on their best chance to finally break into the win column this Sunday when they try for their fourth consecutive victory over the Houston Texans.
The 9-point favored Texans are 1-5 ATS in their last six games and the team is allowing close to 30 points per contest. The Bengals have averaged 29.3 points to win all three of their meetings with the Texans, including a 38-3 rout at Reliant Stadium in 2002. But this is a very different Bengals team led by backup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was sacked seven times against the Steelers in Week 7, bringing his total to 15 in four games.
