The battle of New York ended in favor of the Islanders.

Miroslav Satan scored at 11:12 of the third period to break a 2-2 tie, lifting the Islanders to a 3-2 victory over the Rangers. The victory stopped the Rangers' winning streak at four games.

The Islanders paid -115 on the puckline (meaning a winning hockey bet of $115 would net a $100 profit). The betting total was a push at five goals.

Rick DiPietro returned to the Islanders' lineup after suffering an eye injury and made 28 saves for the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum.

Ruslan Fedotenko's power-play goal at 9:17 of the third tied the game at 2 before Satan provided the winner.

In other NHL action on Tuesday:

Ottawa 5, Toronto 1: Martin Gerber made 30 saves as the Senators paid -220 at home. The betting total was a push at six goals. Ottawa leads the league with 26 points.

Atlanta 2, Washington 1: Todd White scored the winning goal in overtime as the Thrashers paid -160 at home. Ilya Kovalchuk also scored for Atlanta.
