The good news for backers of the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings is that someone has to come away with a win tonight. (AP Images)

Both clubs will try for their first points of the season when the Pacific Division rivals hook up for the first time this season.

It was hardly shocking that the Kings were swept in their season-opening home-and-home series with San Jose since the Kings are a team in transition. They have a new coach in Terry Murray after tying for an league-low 71 points in 2007-08.

The Ducks (+1400 to win the Cup) on the other hand are coming off back-to-back 100-point seasons and have high expectations this year. Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who has given up eight goals in his first two games, is 11-3-3 with a 2.73 GAA in 17 games against Los Angeles since the beginning of the 2005-06 season.
