Henrik Lundqvist, expected to be back in goal for the New York Rangers, looks to win his seventh straight start and continue his home dominance of the New Jersey Devils tonight.
The Rangers, who are listed at +1500 in NHL futures to win the Cup, entered Monday’s game against San Jose riding a seven-game winning streak but allowed more than three goals for the first time this season in a 7-3 loss.
Prior to Monday, the Rangers had given up a total of five goals in their previous four games.
It is a good bet they return to that form tonight. Lundqvist is 10-1-1 with a 1.32 GAA and three shutouts in 12 career starts against the Devils at MSG, yielding one goal or fewer in five of the last seven meetings.
Martin Brodeur has a 2.30 GAA in 13 games at the Garden since 2005-06, but is just 3-8-2 in those contests.
