With six games remaining, Washington is a longshot to catch Boston for first place in the East. The Capitals, though, have a one-point lead over third-place New Jersey, which is among the New York-area teams they've dominated.

Washington is 8-0-3 against those clubs, with Ovechkin posting 11 goals and nine assists. Ovechkin has found the back of the net five times while adding two assists to lead the Capitals to a 3-0-0 record versus the league-worst Islanders.

New York ranks near the bottom of the league in goals per game, averaging 2.48, but played Philadelphia tough in a 4-3 overtime loss Saturday night.

Kyle Okposo, a 20-year-old winger, has five goals and eight assists in the last 11 games for the Islanders. Get all your NHL betting in the Bodog Sportsbook.
