NHL Hockey Odds: Push to the Playoffs

Now that the NHL trade deadline is over, most teams will settle in and make that final push for the playoffs. The right move at the deadline can be all that is needed to propel a team into the postseason or even jump to the top of the pack. At the same time, not making a move can greatly damage postseason hopes.
The Calgary Flames (+1400 to win Cup) may have narrowed the gap between themselves and the Red Wings (+333) and Sharks (+300) thanks to adding Olli Jokinen and Jordan Leopold. Detroit and San Jose did not do much at all, and that is because they are already so talented.
One team that did not have a good deadline was the Washington Capitals (+900). The Capitals did absolutely nothing on Wednesday, while New Jersey, Boston, the Rangers, and Pittsburgh all got better.
The Montreal Canadiens (+2200) are also fighting for their playoff lives, and just like the Caps did nothing to improve on deadline day.
