After being suspended by the NFL for 10 to 16 games in the upcoming NFL season, Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones took the first step in trying to reduce his suspensions by filing an appeal.

Jones said earlier this month he plans to appeal and NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed Monday that Jones' letter arrived at league offices over the weekend.

"He will have a full opportunity to present his case," Aiello said.

The hearing of his appeal is being scheduled and should be held sometime within the next two weeks.

Jones was suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell after he was linked to a night club shooting in Las Vegas during the NBA All-Star Weekend.
