It wasn't another statistical masterpiece for Tom Brady, but it got the job done. The New England Patriots (9-0) remained undefeated Sunday evening after their 24-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts (7-1). For those who were betting on the big game, the Colts covered the six-point spread and the total fell well under 57.

Brady was not sharp for much of the game. He threw two interceptions before waking up in the fourth quarter with the Pats down 20-10. Two touchdown drives followed, one for 73 yards, the next for 51. Wes Welker caught yet another TD pass with 7:59 remaining. Kevin Faulk caught the go-ahead score with 3:15 left on the clock.

"It took us 60 minutes, and it was a great win for this team," Brady said at a post-game news conference. "It was the first time we were really in a ballgame late and we were proud of the way the guys responded when we were down."

Brady finished with 255 yards passing with three TDs and two picks.

The Colts had an opportunity to regain the lead after the Faulk touchdown but Peyton Manning turned the ball over to Rosevolt Colvin leaving New England to kill the clock with no Indy timeouts remaining.

Manning completed just 16 of 27 attempts for 225 yards, a TD and an interception.

"They played better than us and deserved to win," Manning said. "I'm sure we'll see some mistakes on our part and some chances that we had that we just didn't take advantage of."

Most of the Colts' offense came from running back Joseph Addai, who finished with 112 yards rushing and 114 yards receiving and a TD.

Randy Moss scored the first touchdown of the game on a four-yard pass in the first quarter. Moss finished with nine catches for 145 yards and caught a key 55-yard bomb from Brady in the fourth quarter to set up the Welker touchdown.

"They made the big plays down the stretch and we couldn't counter them," Indianapolis coach Tony Dungy said. "You knew they would try to go over the top to Moss and they finally were able to do it."

In other Sunday NFL action:

Houston 24, Oakland 17 – Texans QB Sage Rosenfels completed just 11 passes but that was good enough to beat the Raiders. Rosenfels connected with Andre Davis on a 42-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter Ron Dayne was the offensive star of the game with 122 yards rushing and a TD. Oakland QB Josh McCown finished with three interceptions.

Cleveland 33, Seattle 30 (OT) – The Browns stuffed the Seahawks on a short fourth down in overtime and proceeded to drive for the game-winning, 25-yard field goal by Phil Dawson. Derek Anderson threw for 364 yards while Jamal Lewis scored four TDs on just 37 yards rushing. Seahawk RB Shaun Alexander was disappointing once again gaining just 32 yards on 14 carries.
