In a quest to get back to the Stanley Cup finals after losing super sniper Marian Hossa to free agency, the Pittsburgh Penguins made two big offensive signings on Thursday, picking up veterans Miroslav Satan and Ruslan Fedotenko.

Fedotenko signed a one-year contract. Financial terms weren't announced, but sources indicate that the deal is worth $2.25 million.

Satan signed a one-year deal worth $3.5 million.

Fedotenko, 29, scored 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) and led the New York Islanders with eight power-play goals in 67 games last season. Satan, 33, had 16 goals and 25 assists in 80 games with the Islanders last season.
