In a 6-2 victory on Sunday night, the Philadelphia Phillies advanced to the National League Championship Series.

Though they managed to stretch the series to four games with a victory on Saturday, the Milwaukee Brewers could not compete with the manpower that is Pat Burrell.

Burrell homered twice and batted in four for the Phillies who used a four-run third-inning to launch themselves in front and never look back.

On the game Philadelphia saw homeruns for Burrell, Jimmy Rollins and Jayson Werth.

Elsewhere in postseason action, the Chicago White Sox kept their post-season hopes alive with a game three victory over Tampa Bay.

Starting pitcher John Danks recorded the win less than a week after looking brilliant for the White Sox in the American League Central tiebreaker against the Minnesota Twins last Tuesday.
