Amare Stoudemire and the Phoenix Suns steamrolled past the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, despite Shaquille O'Neal's having been ejected for a flagrant foul against Rodney Stuckey.

Leading the way for the Suns in the 104-86 victory was Stoudemire with 29 points while Richard Hamilton paced Detroit with 19.

The win helps Phoenix advance to 8-3 while Detroit falls to 7-3.

Elsewhere in NBA action, the Denver Nuggest surpassed the Minnesota Timberwolves while the Dallas Mavericks went off in a contest against the surprising New York Knicks.

Chauncey Billups added 26 points and five assists in the Nuggest victory while Dirk Nowitzki, Josh Howard and Jason Terry combined for 90 Dallas points in the their win.
