Boise State is a 3-point underdog at the Poinsettia Bowl against the Texas Christian Horned Frogs – who were getting nearly two-thirds of the action at press time.

It doesn’t make much sense looking at the numbers. The Broncos are 12-0 SU (7-3-1 ATS), ranked No. 9 in the AP poll with a key Week 4 victory at Oregon (-10). The Horned Frogs are 10-2 SU (8-3 ATS) and No. 11 in the AP poll after losing at Utah (+2) in Week 11.

The difference is in quality of opposition – the Mountain West was superior to the WAC this season. TCU also has by far the nation’s most successful run defense (1.7 yards allowed per play); however, Boise State makes its living through the air. It’s a good living, too.
