From the "man, that's weird" file – missing Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman Quinn Pitcock has finally turned up. And he's turned up…retired?

According to various media reports, Pitcock – the 98th overall selection out of Ohio State in 2007 – has retired after just one season in the NFL. The announcement came after Pitcock was "missing" from Colts training camp and nobody in the organization knew where he was.

This story from the Indianapolis Star suggests that personal issues played a role in Pitcock's retirement. An excerpt:

"Pitcock, 24, could not be reached for comment. Neither Dungy nor Pitcock's agent, Brad Leshnock, chose to address speculation on an NFL-related Web site that Pitcock has lost the desire to play. Dungy said Pitcock participated in the offseason conditioning program without issue."

This, combined with Peyton Manning's bursa sac and Marvin Harrison's gun collection, has made Indy's offseason one to forget. How will the Colts react to this latest setback? Check out the Bodog Sportsbook today for all the latest NFL football futures betting!
