A number of dejected teams will return to practice this week after suffering painful defeats on Sunday, including the Raiders, Ravens and Panthers who combined for just nine points on the day.

When the Oakland Raiders completed a field goal in the first quarter of their match up with the sub-.500 New Orleans Saints this afternoon, it appeared as though the team could run away withjust its second victory of the young season.

Four quarters and 34 points later, all was lost.

Quarterback Drew Brees led the Saints to the 34-3 victory with three touchdown passes and zero interceptions.

Elsewhere in football the Carolina Panthers came up on the short end of a 27-3 bout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the loss, Panthers QB Jake Delhomme coughed up three interceptions.

Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai left a 31-3 decision early on Sunday with what appeared to be a hamstring injury in the first quarter.

Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison hooked up twice in the win.
