Now that the MLB trade deadline has passed, teams lock in for the final push towards the postseason.

The Boston Red Sox added a big bat in Victor Martinez, while holding onto prized pitching prospect Clay Buchholz.

With the Chicago White Sox hot on their heels, the Detroit Tigers were in need of a veteran presence to settle their rotation and got it with Jarrod Washburn. To counter that, the White Sox got Jake Peavy, when he agreed to waive his no-trade clause and to head to Chicago.

Despite a .500 record, the Minnesota Twins fancied themselves a buyer at the deadline due to the fact that they are only three games out of a playoff spot. Getting an upgrade at SS was a must, and Orlando Cabrera will be a significant upgrade.

Finally the Philadelphia Phillies were the big winners, landing Cliff Lee from the Cleveland Indians without giving up the prospects that everyone valued.
