After the first slate of Olympic basketball came to a close Sunday, the results ranged from easily expected to borderline shocking.

In the final match of the night (or the morning, for those you watching in North America) the American Redeem Team tore apart the Chinese national squad to the tune of 101-70.

Leading the way for the US was Dwyane Wade with 19 points while LeBron James added 18 of his own. Over the course of the match the Americans constantly found their way in and around the key for a bevy of uncontested dunks and fast breaks.

Elsewhere, reigning Olympic gold medallists Argentina lost at the hands of Lithuania in a hard fought, 79-75 battle.

Additionally, Spain enjoyed a lopsided victory over Greece, Germany over Angola, Croatia over Australia and Russia, by a long shot, over Iran.
