It's official, Roger Federer is back in the US Open Finals.

After a four-set tilt with third-ranked Novak Djokovic, Federer will have the opportunity to defend a title that's been his for the past four years.

In a 6-3, 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 victory, Federer claimed the chance to fight in his third consecutive grand slam final.

Though Djokovic managed to steal the second set from the Olympic-champion Swede, Federer made short work of the 21-year-old down the stretch as the pressures of the game and the crowd appeared to weigh on.

In addition to his experience and poise, Federer used a 20-6 advantage in aces to help seal the deal.

With the win Saturday, Federer will take on the winner of Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray who are currently underway on the Louis Armstrong court in New York.
